Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the preferred choice for waterproofing and seepage-proofing across a broad spectrum of building grades. Whether for exposed or hidden areas, these membranes excel in safeguarding flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and much more.

Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is impeccably clean, dry, and free from contaminants, ready for a flawless application.
All dust and any loose or friable materials must be thoroughly removed to ensure a perfect finish.
Blowholes and voids should be completely exposed, with expert repairs performed thereafter for optimal results.
2. Primer:
Before placing the membrane, meticulously apply the primer. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then enhance it with a treatment primer to improve waterproofing, ensuring effective dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with precision, aligning it accurately before initiating the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring they are staggered by at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints, thereby optimizing stability.
*It is vital to alternate the end-to-end overlaps, avoiding alignment along a single line for enhanced structural integrity.
*Always begin at the lowest slope height, prioritizing drains, downpipes, or other critical details for superior results.
*During the torching process, simultaneously heat both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlapping areas for a secure and lasting bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps to ensure a clean trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a pristine finish.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly compress the membrane surface, ensuring impeccable adhesion that endures over time.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean, with work avoided on rainy or snowy days for the best results.
2. Avoid working in winds stronger than grade 5 to guarantee safety and quality.
3. Construction should not proceed if the temperature is below 5°C to maintain optimal conditions.
4. If rain or snow occurs during construction, protective measures for the laid membrane are essential to preserve quality.
5. All personnel must wear designated safety uniforms, and fire control equipment is a mandatory requirement during installation to ensure safety.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment to maintain their quality.
2. Different types of membranes should be stored separately to prevent any mixing and preserve integrity.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage duration is one year from the production date, ensuring long-term reliability.
4. During transportation, it is crucial that membrane rolls are stored in an upright position to maintain their integrity. Protect them from direct sunlight and rain to ensure their longevity and effectiveness upon application.
