Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the go-to choice for comprehensive waterproofing and seepage-proofing across diverse building types. Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is impeccably clean, completely dry, and devoid of any contaminants, setting it up for flawless application.
Meticulously remove all dust and any loose or friable materials.
Expose all blowholes and voids fully, followed by expert repair for optimal surface preparation.
2. Primer:
Prior to laying the membrane, diligently apply a primer. Clean the substrate with a dust catcher or blower, and follow with a primer treatment to bolster waterproofing, secure dust consolidation, and ensure superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane, align it with precision before commencing the torching or bonding operation.
*Lay each membrane in parallel formation, staggering by at least 1 meter to avoid joint alignment for unparalleled stability.
*Alternating the end-to-end overlaps is essential to prevent linear joint alignment, enhancing structural integrity.
*Always start at the lowest slope height, giving priority to drains, downpipes, and other critical areas.
*During torching, heat both membrane and substrate simultaneously, concentrating on the roll and overlap zones for a robust bond.
*Execute precise welding at overlaps to produce a neat trickle of melted material, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for an immaculate finish.
4.Employ a roller to compress the membrane surface firmly, guaranteeing exceptional adhesion that endures.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be clean and dry. Avoid working on days with rain or snow to achieve optimal results.
2. Refrain from carrying out work in winds exceeding grade 5 to maintain safety and workmanship quality.
3. Do not conduct construction when the temperature falls below 5°C.
4. In the occurrence of rain or snow during construction, take immediate protective actions for the laid membrane to preserve its quality.
5. All workers must wear appropriate safety clothing, and fire control equipment is mandatory during the installation process.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-aired environment to uphold their pristine quality.
2. Different membrane types should be stored separately to avoid any risk of mixing.
3. Under ideal storage conditions, the product's shelf life reaches up to one year from the date of manufacture.
4. Ensure the utmost preservation during transportation! Store membrane rolls vertically, safeguarding them from the harsh rays of the sun and unpredictable rain. This meticulous approach ensures lasting quality.
