Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the go-to choice for shielding structures from water ingress and seepage across a vast spectrum of building types. These membranes excel in securing flat and sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and more, delivering superior protection whether exposed or concealed.

Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is impeccably clean, thoroughly dry, and entirely free of contaminants, setting the stage for a flawless application.
All dust and any loose or friable materials must be meticulously cleared away.
Expose and expertly repair blowholes and voids to ensure a perfect surface.
2. Primer:
Apply primer with meticulous attention before membrane placement. Use a dust catcher or blower to cleanse the substrate, then treat it with a primer to boost waterproofing, guaranteeing optimal dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with precision, ensuring correct alignment before commencing the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring they are staggered by at least 1 meter to prevent joint alignment, enhancing stability.
*Alternate the end-to-end overlaps to avoid single-line alignment, boosting the structural integrity.
*Start at the lowest slope height, giving priority to areas such as drains and downpipes.
*During torching, heat both the membrane and substrate simultaneously, focusing on the roll and overlap areas for a robust bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps to yield a neat trickle of molten material, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a pristine finish.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly press the membrane surface, securing an impeccable adhesion that endures over time.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Avoid working on days with rain or snow to ensure optimal results.
2. Do not work in winds exceeding grade 5 to maintain safety and quality standards.
3. Construction is inadvisable if temperatures fall below 5°C.
4. Should rain or snow occur during construction, safeguard the laid membrane to preserve its quality.
5. All personnel must don prescribed safety uniforms, and fire control equipment is compulsory during installation.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated area to maintain their quality.
2. Different varieties of membranes should be stored separately to avoid intermixing.
3. Under optimal conditions, storage is viable for up to one year from the production date.
4. During transit, position membrane rolls vertically and shield them from sunlight and precipitation to ensure preservation.
