Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the preferred choice for waterproofing and seepage-proofing across a wide array of building grades. Whether for exposed or concealed areas, these membranes excel in securing flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and much more.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure that the substrate is perfectly clean, dry, and free from contaminants, ready for an impeccable application.
All dust, along with any loose and friable materials, must be thoroughly removed.
Blowholes and voids should be fully exposed and expertly repaired thereafter.
2. Primer:
Before placing the membrane, apply primer meticulously. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then coat it with a treatment primer to enhance waterproofing, ensuring effective dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with precision, aligning it accurately before beginning the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring they are staggered by at least 1 meter to avoid coinciding joints for optimal stability.
*Alternating the end-to-end overlaps is crucial, avoiding alignment along a single line for enhanced integrity.
*Always initiate at the lowest slope height, prioritizing drains, downpipes, or other critical details.
*During the torching process, simultaneously heat both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlapping areas for a secure bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps to ensure a clean trickle of melted mixture, about 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a perfect finish.
4.Employ a roller to firmly compress the membrane surface, ensuring an impeccable adhesion that stands the test of time.
Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Work should be avoided on rainy or snowy days for best results.
2. Avoid working in winds stronger than grade 5 to ensure safety and quality.
3. Construction should not proceed if the temperature is below 5°C.
4. If rain or snow ensues during construction, protective measures for the laid membrane are crucial to maintain quality.
5. All personnel must wear designated safety uniforms, and fire control equipment is a mandatory requirement during installation.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment to preserve quality.
2. Different types of membranes should be stored separately to prevent mixing.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage duration is one year from the production date.
4. During transportation, membrane rolls should be stored vertically and shielded from sunlight and rain for preservation.
