The first is the Torch-on method, and the second is Self-adhesive.
Torch-on bituminous membranes offer a versatile and straightforward waterproofing solution suitable for all weather conditions. Upon application, the CHENHUA membranes create a seamless, watertight barrier that is securely bonded to the surface, enhancing both durability and performance.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are a preferred choice across a variety of building grades, excelling in waterproofing and seepage-proofing projects. These membranes are suitable for both exposed and concealed areas, including flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and beyond.

Application Method:
1. Substrate Preparation:
Ensure that the substrate is meticulously clean, dry, and free from any contaminants, prepared to absolute perfection to ensure optimal adhesion.
All dust and loose, friable materials must be thoroughly eradicated to maintain a pristine surface.
Blowholes and voids should be fully exposed and subsequently repaired to maintain surface integrity.
2. Primer Application:
Apply primer prior to membrane placement. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then thoroughly coat it with a primer treatment. This step ensures superior waterproofing by consolidating dust and enhancing adhesion.
3. Membrane Placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane and align it with precision before beginning the torching or bonding process.
*Each membrane must be laid parallel, staggered by at least 1 meter, to prevent coinciding joints, enhancing structural integrity.
*End-to-end overlaps must be alternated and never positioned along a single continuous line to maintain strength.
*Begin at the lowest slope height, focusing on areas like drains, downpipes, or other details to ensure comprehensive coverage.
*During torching, both the membrane and the substrate should be heated simultaneously, especially focusing on the roll and overlapping areas for a perfect bond.
*Overlaps must be welded with precision, creating a thin trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly press down the membrane surface, ensuring a secure and lasting adhesion.


Attention:
1. Ensure the substrate is dry and clean. Avoid operation on rainy or snowy days to maintain quality.
2. Refrain from working in heavy winds (above grade 5) to ensure safety and effectiveness.
3. Construction is not suitable below 5°C, as low temperatures can affect the membrane's performance.
4. Should rain or snow occur during construction, it is essential to implement protective measures for the laid membrane to prevent damage.
5. All personnel must wear special uniforms for safety during installation. Fire control equipment is also essential to maintain safety standards.


Packing and Shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry, well-ventilated conditions to preserve their quality and prolong their lifespan.
2. Different types of membranes must be stored separately to prevent any cross-contamination.
3. Under normal conditions, the storage period is one year from the production date, ensuring optimal performance.
4. Membrane rolls should be stored vertically during transportation and must be protected from direct sunlight and rain to maintain their integrity.
