Bituminous membranes are the gold standard for waterproofing roofs, basements, underground structures, bridges, and much more. Two primary techniques exist for applying these membranes.
The two pivotal methods of application are the Torch-on technique and the Self-adhesive approach.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the versatile choice for a variety of building grades, addressing waterproofing and seepage issues with efficiency. They are perfect for both visible and hidden areas including flat and sloped roofs, underground zones, tunnels, bridges, parking areas, reservoirs, and more, ensuring top-notch protection.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure your substrate is impeccably clean, dry, and devoid of any contaminants, prepared to an exceptional standard of perfection.
Eliminate all dust and loose particles comprehensively to secure the surface.
Completely reveal and repair any blowholes and voids to ensure a flawless foundation.
2. Primer:
Prior to membrane placement, apply a primer. Clean the substrate meticulously with a dust remover or blower then coat it with a treatment primer, ensuring waterproofing supremacy, effective dust consolidation, and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with care, ensuring perfect alignment before beginning the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane parallel, with a staggered offset of at least 1 meter to avoid joint alignment.
*Ensure end-to-end overlaps are alternated and never aligned in a straight line.
*Always start from the lowest slope area, beginning with the drains, downpipes, or intricate details.
*During torching, heat both the membrane and substrate evenly, concentrating on the roll and overlap zones.
*Seamlessly weld overlaps with precision, ensuring a thin, continuous trickle of melted mixture, roughly 1 cm wide, along the overlap line.
4.Employ a roller to press down firmly on the membrane surface, ensuring a secure and steadfast adherence.
Attention:
1. Guarantee the substrate is dry and spotless. Refrain from working during rainy or snowy weather.
2. Avoid working in gusty conditions (above grade 5 winds).
3. Unsuitable for application in temperatures below 5°C.
4. If rain or snow interrupts construction, safeguard the laid membrane immediately.
5. Ensure all installation personnel wear appropriate safety uniforms. Having fire safety equipment is crucial.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in environments that are dry and well-aerated.
2. Different membrane types should be stored distinctly from each other.
3. Typically, the standard storage duration is one year from the date of manufacture.
4. During transit, store membrane rolls vertically, protecting them from direct sunlight and rain exposure.
