Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes find extensive application in a plethora of building grades, providing foolproof waterproofing and seepage-proofing solutions. They are ideal for both exposed and concealed environments, including flat roofs, sloped roofs, subterranean areas, tunnels, bridges, parking areas, reservoirs, and beyond.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is meticulously pristine, impeccably dry, and devoid of any contaminants, prepared for ultimate adhesion.
All dust and loose, friable particulates must be thoroughly removed.
Expose and repair all blowholes and voids to ensure a flawless surface.
2. Primer:
Apply primer before membrane installation. Clean the substrate with a dust catcher or blower and apply a comprehensive treatment primer for optimal waterproofing, enhancing dust consolidation and adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with care, aligning it with precision before commencing torching or bonding.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring a staggering of at least 1 meter to avoid coinciding joints.
*Alternate end-to-end overlaps, avoiding alignment along a single line.
*Initiate from the lowest slope height, beginning with drains, downpipes, or other specifics.
*During torching, simultaneously heat the membrane and substrate, focusing on roll and overlap areas for optimal bonding.
*Ensure overlaps are precisely welded, with a thin trickle of melted material, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap.
4.Employ a roller to apply firm pressure on the membrane surface, ensuring robust adhesion.
Attention:
1. Confirm the substrate is dry and clean. Avoid operations on rainy or snowy days.
2. Refrain from working in strong winds (above grade 5).
3. Not advisable for conditions below 5°C.
4. In the event of rain or snow during construction, implement protective measures for the installed membrane.
5. All workers must wear specialized uniforms for safety during installation. Fire control equipment is mandatory.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment.
2. Different membrane types should be stored separately to maintain quality.
3. Under standard conditions, storage duration is one year from the production date.
4. During transportation, store membrane rolls vertically and shield them from sunlight and rain.
