Renowned for its outstanding waterproofing capabilities, it finds extensive applications within the construction sector. Bituminous membranes stand as the quintessential choice for waterproofing needs on roofs, basements, subterranean structures, bridges, and an array of other constructions. Primarily, the deployment of bitumen membranes is executed through two principal methods.
The first method is the Torch-on technique, followed by the Self-adhesive approach.
Torch-on bituminous membranes represent a versatile and user-friendly solution, adaptable to all weather conditions. Upon the application of CHENHUA membranes, they craft a seamless, watertight barrier that adheres robustly to the surface, ensuring long-lasting protection.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes find widespread usage across diverse building levels for both waterproofing and seepage-proofing endeavors. Their versatility extends to both exposed and hidden areas, encompassing flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and beyond.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Guarantee that the substrate is immaculately clean, dry, and devoid of contaminants, prepared impeccably for application.
All dust and loose, fragile materials must be meticulously eliminated.
Blowholes and voids should be fully revealed and subsequently repaired.
2. Primer:
Apply primer prior to membrane installation. Cleanse the substrate with a dust catcher or blower and then apply a comprehensive coating of treatment primer for waterproofing, ensuring effective dust consolidation and improved adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Gently unroll the torch-on membrane and align it with precision before commencing torching or bonding.
*Each membrane must be placed in parallel, staggered by at least 1 meter to prevent joint alignment.
*Ensure end-to-end overlaps are alternated, avoiding alignment along a singular line.
*Begin at the lowest slope height, starting with drains, downpipes, or intricate details.
*When torching, simultaneously heat both the membrane and the substrate, focusing on the roll and overlap sections.
*Overlaps must be welded with finesse, ensuring a subtle trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, flows along the overlap line.
4.Employ a roller to firmly press down the membrane surface, ensuring optimal adhesion.
Attention:
1. Confirm the substrate is dry and clean. Avoid working in rainy or snowy conditions.
2. Refrain from working in heavy winds (above grade 5).
3. Not suitable for construction below 5°C.
4. If rain or snow interrupts construction, implement protective measures for the laid membrane.
5. All personnel must wear specialized uniforms for safety during installation. Fire control equipment is mandatory.
Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry, well-ventilated conditions to maintain quality.
2. Different membrane types must be kept separately to avoid contamination.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage period is one year from the production date.
4. Membrane rolls should be stored vertically during transportation and shielded from sunlight and moisture.
