Product Introduction
Dive into the world of Bitumen, a highly esteemed material in construction, commonly known as asphalt. Its dense, black, and viscous nature, derived from petroleum, makes it an unrivaled waterproofing agent. Celebrated for its outstanding performance, bitumen remains indispensable in the construction sector. Bituminous membranes stand as the ultimate choice for robust and comprehensive waterproofing solutions. Perfectly suited for roofs, basements, and underground structures, they also extend their protective prowess to bridges and a myriad of other structures. These membranes boast two main application techniques that set them apart.
The first celebrated method is Torch-on, a tried-and-true classic, while the second is the innovative Self-adhesive approach.
Torch-on bituminous membranes are ideal for any weather condition, offering unmatched versatility coupled with effortless application. When CHENHUA membranes are applied with precision, they form a seamless, watertight skin that bonds closely with the surface, providing the ultimate shield.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the top choice for guarding against water ingress and seepage across various building types. Whether for exposed or hidden areas, these membranes excel in protecting flat and sloped roofs, underground areas, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and beyond.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is immaculately clean, dry, and free of contaminants, setting the stage for a flawless application.
Thoroughly eliminate all dust and any loose, friable materials to maintain a pristine surface.
Expose and expertly mend any blowholes and voids to prepare the substrate adequately.
2. Primer:
Prior to membrane application, meticulously apply primer. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then treat it with a primer to enhance waterproofing, ensuring effective dust binding and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane meticulously, aligning it with precision before beginning the torching or bonding phase.
*Arrange each membrane in parallel, staggering them by at least 1 meter to prevent joint alignment, ensuring optimal stability.
*Alternate the end-to-end overlaps, steering clear of alignment along a single line for enhanced structural integrity.
*Always commence at the lowest slope height, prioritizing coverage of drains, downpipes, or other critical areas.
*During the torching process, evenly heat both the membrane and substrate, concentrating on the roll and overlap areas to achieve a secure bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps for a flawless finish, ensuring a neat trickle of melted bitumen mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line.
4.Employ a roller to firmly press the membrane surface, ensuring robust adhesion that withstands the test of time.
Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Refrain from working on rainy or snowy days to ensure the best results.
2. Avoid tasks in winds exceeding grade 5 to maintain safety and quality.
3. Halt construction if the temperature drops below 5°C.
4. If rain or snow arises during construction, implement protective measures for the laid membrane to preserve its quality.
5. All workers must don designated safety uniforms, with fire control equipment mandatory during installation.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated space to maintain their quality.
2. Segregate different types of membranes during storage to prevent mixing.
3. Under optimal conditions, membranes can be stored for one year from the production date.
4. Ensure the impeccable condition of membrane rolls during transportation by storing them vertically. Protect them vigilantly from sunlight and rain to guarantee their preservation.
