Two predominant application techniques define bitumen membranes.
These techniques include the Torch-on method and the Self-adhesive application.
Torch-on bituminous membranes present a versatile and straightforward waterproofing solution suitable for all weather conditions. Upon application, the CHENHUA membranes establish a continuous, watertight shield that is securely fused to the substrate.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes find extensive application across a diverse array of building grades, excelling in waterproofing and seepage prevention projects. These membranes expertly serve both exposed and concealed areas, encompassing flat roofs, sloped roofs, subterranean spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and beyond.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is immaculately clean, dry, and devoid of any contaminants, prepared with utmost precision.
All dust and loose, friable materials must be thoroughly eliminated without exception.
Blowholes and voids should be fully exposed and meticulously repaired thereafter.
2. Primer:
Apply primer before membrane placement. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then thoroughly coat it with a treatment primer. This ensures robust dust consolidation and enhanced adhesion for superior waterproofing.
3. Membrane placement:
*Meticulously unroll the torch-on membrane, aligning it precisely prior to torching or bonding.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring a stagger of at least 1 meter to avert coinciding joints.
*End-to-end overlaps must be alternated, avoiding alignment along a single line.
*Initiate at the lowest slope height, focusing on drains, downpipes, or other pivotal details.
*During torching, concurrently heat both the membrane and the substrate, paying particular attention to roll and overlapping areas.
*Weld overlaps with precision, ensuring a slender trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, manifests along the overlap line.
4.Employ a roller to apply firm pressure on the membrane surface, assuring a steadfast adhesion.
Attention:
1. Verify the substrate is dry and clean. Refrain from working on days characterized by rain or snow.
2. Avoid operations in conditions of strong winds (above grade 5).
3. Not recommended for construction at temperatures below 5°C.
4. Should rain or snow befall during construction, implement protective measures for the installed membrane.
5. All personnel must don specialized uniforms for safety during the installation. Fire control equipment is indispensable.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment.
2. Segregate different membrane types during storage.
3. Under standard conditions, the storage duration is one year from the production date.
4. Store membrane rolls vertically during transportation, safeguarding them against sunlight and rain.
