Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membrane is a versatile solution widely used across various building waterproofing and seepage-proofing projects. It is suitable for both exposed and concealed applications, including flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground areas, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and more.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is impeccably clean, completely dry, devoid of contaminants, and thoroughly prepared for optimal performance.
Meticulously remove all dust and any loose, friable materials to ensure a pristine application surface.
Fully expose and repair any blowholes and voids to create an ideal surface for application.
2. Primer:
Prior to membrane application, apply a specialized primer to consolidate dust and enhance adhesive properties. Clean the substrate meticulously using a dust catcher or blower before uniformly applying the treatment primer for superior waterproofing performance.
3. Membrane Placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane, ensuring precise alignment before proceeding with torching or bonding.
*Lay each membrane parallel to the other, ensuring a staggered arrangement by at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints.
*Alternate end-to-end overlaps to avoid alignment along a single line for enhanced durability.
*Commence installation from the lowest slope height, incorporating drains, downpipes, or other necessary details.
*During torching, focus heat on both the membrane and the substrate, particularly on the roll and overlaps, for a secure bond.
*Diligently weld overlaps, aiming for a visible trickle of melted mixture approximately 1 cm wide along the overlap line to confirm a proper seal.
4.Apply firm pressure using a roller across the membrane surface to ensure a strong, lasting bond.
Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Refrain from working during rainy or snowy conditions.
2. Avoid operations under strong winds exceeding Grade 5.
3. Refrain from construction activities when temperatures are below 5°C for quality assurance.
4. Should rain or snow arise during construction, implement protective measures for the already laid membrane to prevent damage.
5. Workers must don special uniforms for safety. Equipments for fire control are essential during installation.

Packing and Shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment to maintain quality.
2. Segregate different types of membranes during storage for organized and efficient handling.
3. Under normal conditions, the storage period is recommended to be one year from the production date to ensure peak performance.
4. During transportation, store membrane rolls vertically and protect them from direct sunlight and rain exposure.
