Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are extensively employed across a myriad of building grades, ensuring robust waterproofing and seepage prevention. These membranes are ideal for both exposed and concealed areas, including flat and sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and beyond.

Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure that the substrate is meticulously clean, dry, and free from contaminants, prepared to perfection for optimal performance.
All dust and loose, friable materials must be thoroughly eradicated to ensure a solid foundation.
Completely expose and repair any blowholes and voids to achieve a smooth and durable surface.
2. Primer:
Apply a high-quality primer prior to membrane installation. Clean the substrate thoroughly with a dust catcher or blower, then apply a comprehensive treatment primer to consolidate dust and enhance adhesion for effective waterproofing.
3. Membrane placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane, aligning it precisely before beginning the torching or bonding process for perfect alignment.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring a staggered arrangement by at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints and enhance structural integrity.
*Alternate the end-to-end overlaps, avoiding a single line to reinforce the membrane's durability.
*Always commence application from the lowest slope height, starting with drains, downpipes, or other critical details for optimal water drainage.
*During torching, apply heat to both the membrane and substrate simultaneously, focusing on the roll and overlap areas for a secure bond.
*Ensure overlaps are welded with precision, allowing a thin trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, to appear along the overlap line, indicating a perfect seal.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly press down the membrane surface, ensuring a secure and lasting adhesion to the substrate.


Attention:
1. Ensure the substrate is dry and clean. Avoid construction on rainy or snowy days to maintain quality.
2. Refrain from working in heavy winds exceeding grade 5 to prevent hazards and ensure safety.
3. Construction is not recommended when the temperature falls below 5°C due to potential adhesion issues.
4. Protective measures are essential if rain or snow occurs during construction to safeguard the membrane.
5. All personnel must wear specialized uniforms for safety during installation, and fire control equipment is mandatory.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry, well-ventilated conditions to preserve their quality and longevity.
2. Different membrane types must be stored separately to avoid any potential contamination or damage.
3. Under normal conditions, the storage period is one year from the production date, ensuring product integrity.
4. During transportation, store membrane rolls vertically and shield them from sunlight and rain to prevent degradation.
