Bituminous membranes shine as the ultimate choice for these waterproofing endeavors, with two primary techniques to facilitate their application.
The first technique is the Torch-on method, while the second is the Self-adhesive approach.
Torch-on bituminous membranes offer a versatile and straightforward solution that triumphs over all weather conditions. The CHENHUA membranes, once applied, transform into an impeccable, seamless, and watertight barrier that firmly bonds to any surface.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are a top choice for waterproofing and seepage prevention across a range of building grades. Their versatility makes them perfect for both visible and hidden areas, including flat and sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking areas, reservoirs, and even more.

Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is immaculately clean, dry, and devoid of all contaminants, prepared with meticulous care.
Eradicate all dust and friable materials thoroughly.
Expose any blowholes and voids completely, ensuring they are expertly repaired.
2. Primer:
Before laying the membrane, apply a primer. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then coat it comprehensively with a treatment primer. This guarantees waterproofing efficacy, optimal dust consolidation, and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane, aligning it with precision before initiating the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring a staggered arrangement by at least 1 meter to prevent overlapping joints.
*End-to-end overlaps should be alternated, avoiding alignment along a single line.
*Begin at the lowest slope height, starting with drains, downpipes, or other critical details.
*During torching, ensure simultaneous heating of both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlap areas for optimal results.
*Overlaps must be welded with exceptional precision, producing a fine trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line.
4.Utilize a roller to press down on the membrane surface firmly, ensuring it adheres securely and reliably.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and pristine. Avoid working on rainy or snowy days for the best results.
2. Work should be halted in heavy winds (above grade 5) for safety.
3. Unsuitable for construction in temperatures below 5°C.
4. In the event of rain or snow during construction, take immediate protective measures for the laid membrane.
5. All personnel should don special uniforms for safety during installation, and fire control equipment is crucial.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry, well-ventilated environments to maintain their quality.
2. Different types of membranes should be stored separately to avoid any confusion or damage.
3. Under standard conditions, the storage period extends up to one year from the production date, ensuring durability.
4. During transportation, store membrane rolls vertically and protect them from sunlight and rain to preserve their integrity.
