Product Introduction
Bitumen, often celebrated as asphalt, is a dense, jet-black, and considerably viscous liquid or semi-solid born from petroleum. Renowned for its extraordinary waterproofing credentials, it finds extensive application within the construction realm. Bituminous membranes stand as the quintessential choice for waterproofing pursuits across roofs, basements, subterranean structures, bridges, and a myriad of other constructions. Primarily, two authoritative techniques exist for applying bitumen membranes.
These techniques include the Torch-on method and the Self-adhesive technique.
Torch-on bituminous membranes offer a versatile, simple-to-use solution suitable for diverse climatic conditions. Upon application, CHENHUA membranes seamlessly coalesce into an impermeable, watertight barrier, robustly bonded to the underlying surface.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes find widespread utilization across various construction grades for both waterproofing and seepage-proofing endeavors. Suitable for both visible and hidden areas, applications include flat roofs, sloped roofs, subterranean areas, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and beyond.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure that the substrate is impeccably clean, dry, and free from any contaminants, thoroughly prepared for optimal results.
Every speck of dust and any loose, friable material must be meticulously removed.
Blowholes and voids should be fully exposed and meticulously repaired thereafter.
2. Primer:
Prior to laying the membrane, administer a primer. Cleanse the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, and apply a treatment primer to guarantee optimal waterproofing, ensuring cohesive dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*With precision, unroll the torch-on membrane and align it accurately prior to commencing torching or bonding.
*Each membrane should be laid out in parallel fashion, staggered by at least 1 meter to avoid overlapping joints.
*Ensure end-to-end overlaps are alternated, never aligned along a single trajectory.
*Initiate installation at the lowest slope height, commencing with drains, downpipes, or other detailed structures.
*During the torching process, simultaneously heat both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlapping zones.
*Overlaps should be welded with meticulous precision, ensuring a fine trickle of melted mix, about 1 cm wide, appears along the overlap line.
4.Use a roller to exert firm pressure on the membrane surface, ensuring strong adhesion and secure placement.
Attention:
1. Assure the substrate's dryness and cleanliness. Refrain from operations on rainy or snowy days.
2. Avoid operations during strong winds exceeding grade 5.
3. Construction is inadvisable at temperatures below 5°C.
4. Should rain or snow occur during construction, ensure protective measures are in place for the membrane already laid.
5. All personnel must don specialized uniforms for safety during installation. Fire control equipment remains indispensable.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in environments that are dry, well-ventilated.
2. Segregate different types of membranes for storage.
3. Under mundane conditions, the storage tenure lasts one year from the production date.
4. During transport, membrane rolls should be stored upright, shielded from sunlight and precipitation.

1) What's the popular size for Torch-on bitumen membrane?
-3mm x 1m x 10m with PE or sand granular top.
-Experience the premium quality of our membranes, featuring a robust 4mm thickness, a convenient 1m width, and a generous 10m length, available with either a protective PE layer or a stylish sand granular finish.
2) What's the fundamental difference between SBS and APP?
-SBS and APP are innovative modifiers tailored to elevate the performance of waterproof membranes. SBS modifiers are engineered to dramatically enhance cold resistance, making them perfect for frigid environments, while APP modifiers are crafted to boost heat resistance for high-temperature conditions. Though they may appear similar, each offers distinct functional advantages that cater to different environmental demands.
