Predominantly, there are two principal techniques for applying bitumen membranes that ensure reliability and efficiency.
The first is the Torch-on method, while the other is Self-adhesive.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are extensively utilized across diverse building grades for waterproofing and seepage-proofing projects. Suitably applied in both exposed and concealed spaces, they encompass flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground areas, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, reservoirs, and more, providing exceptional resilience and durability.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is meticulously clean, dry, and entirely free from contaminants, prepared to perfection for optimal adherence.
Eradicate all dust and loose, friable materials thoroughly to achieve a pristine surface.
Expose and repair all blowholes and voids to ensure a flawless foundation.
2. Primer:
Apply a primer before membrane installation. Clean the substrate with a dust catcher or blower, then coat it comprehensively with a treatment primer to guarantee waterproofing, reinforcing dust consolidation and adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane, aligning it with precision before initiating the torching or bonding process.
*Each membrane should be laid in parallel, staggered by at least 1 meter to prevent overlapping joints.
*End-to-end overlaps must be alternated to avoid alignment along a single line.
*Initiate at the lowest slope height, starting with drains, downpipes, or other detail elements.
*During the torching process, apply heat both to the membrane and the substrate, focusing on rolls and overlap areas.
*Weld overlaps with precision, ensuring a thin, 1 cm wide trickle of melted mixture is visible along the overlap line.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly press down the membrane surface, ensuring a secure, enduring adhesion.
Attention:
1. Ensure the substrate remains dry and clean. Avoid construction during inclement weather such as rain or snow.
2. Refrain from work in heavy winds exceeding grade 5.
3. Avoid construction in temperatures below 5°C.
4. In case of rain or snow during construction, implement protective measures for the laid membrane.
5. All personnel must don special safety uniforms during installation. Fire control equipment is mandatory.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment, ensuring their longevity.
2. Store different membrane types separately to maintain quality.
3. Under standard conditions, the storage period extends to one year from the date of production.
4. During transportation, membrane rolls should be stored vertically and shielded from direct sunlight and rain.
