Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the premier selection for waterproofing and seepage-proofing across an extensive range of building categories. Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is impeccably clean, dry, and devoid of contaminants, setting the stage for flawless application.
All dust, alongside loose and friable particles, must be meticulously eliminated.
Blowholes and voids should be exposed completely and expertly remedied thereafter.
2. Primer:
Before membrane placement, meticulously apply the primer. Cleanse the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then coat it with a primer treatment to enhance waterproofing, ensuring effective dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with exactitude, aligning it accurately before initiating the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, ensuring a staggering by at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints and optimize stability.
*Alternating the end-to-end overlaps is essential, avoiding alignment along a singular line for heightened structural integrity.
*Always begin at the lowest slope height, prioritizing drains, downpipes, or other pivotal details.
*During the torching process, heat both the membrane and substrate concurrently, concentrating on the roll and overlapping areas for a steadfast bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps to guarantee a tidy trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a flawless finish.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly compress the membrane surface, ensuring adhesion that endures the test of time.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and spotless. Avoid any work on rainy or snowy days to achieve prime results.
2. Avoid operations in winds exceeding grade 5 to maintain both safety and quality.
3. Construction should be halted if temperatures fall below 5°C.
4. If precipitation occurs during construction, protective measures for the laid membrane are essential to uphold quality.
5. All personnel must don designated safety uniforms, with fire control equipment being a mandatory fixture during installation.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-aired environment to maintain their integrity.
2. Different membrane types should be stored separately to prevent any intermixing.
3. Under optimal storage conditions, the preservation period is one year from the production date.
4. During transportation, it is imperative to ensure that membrane rolls are stored vertically. Protect them from sunlight and rain to maintain their quality and performance.
