Product Introduction
Embark on a journey through the world of bitumen, an exceptional material known for its incredible waterproofing capabilities. Bitumen, also commonly referred to as asphalt, is a thick, black, and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid that is derived from petroleum. Its extraordinary waterproofing properties make it an indispensable asset within the construction industry. This dynamic material is widely used in the creation of bituminous membranes, which serve as ideal solutions for waterproofing a multitude of structures such as roofs, basements, underground facilities, and bridges. There are primarily two popular application techniques for these versatile bitumen membranes.
The first method is the Torch-on application, renowned for its efficacy, and the second is the Self-adhesive application.
Torch-on bituminous membranes offer a versatile and straightforward waterproofing solution that stands resilient in all weather conditions. Upon applying CHENHUA membranes, they create a seamless, watertight barrier that adheres securely to the surface, ensuring long-lasting protection and peace of mind.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are a trusted choice for various building grades, providing comprehensive waterproofing and seepage-proofing solutions. These membranes are perfectly suited for both exposed and concealed areas, including flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, and reservoirs, among others.
Application method:
1. Substrate:
Begin by ensuring the substrate is pristinely clean, dry, and devoid of all contaminants, achieving a state of perfection.
Diligently remove all dust and any loose or friable materials to prepare the substrate.
Fully expose and repair any blowholes and voids to ensure a flawless surface.
2. Primer:
Before laying the membrane, apply a primer. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then coat it with a primer to ensure waterproofing, enhance dust consolidation, and improve adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Carefully unroll the torch-on membrane, ensuring precise alignment before beginning the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, with a stagger of at least 1 meter, avoiding coinciding joints to ensure optimal performance.
*Alternate the end-to-end overlaps, ensuring they are never aligned along a single line.
*Initiate at the lowest slope height, paying special attention to starting at drains, downpipes, or other intricate details.
*During the torching process, simultaneously heat both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlapping areas for a perfect bond.
*Precisely weld the overlaps, ensuring a thin trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, forms along the overlap line for secure sealing.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly press down the membrane surface, ensuring a strong and secure adhesion.
Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and impeccably clean. Avoid operations on rainy or snowy days to maintain quality.
2. Refrain from conducting work in heavy winds, particularly those above grade 5, to ensure safety and effectiveness.
3. Construction should not take place when temperatures are below 5°C to avoid complications.
4. In the event of rain or snow during construction, implement protective measures to safeguard the laid membrane.
5. All personnel must wear specialized uniforms for safety during installation. It is imperative to equip the site with fire control gear.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry, well-ventilated conditions to preserve their integrity and effectiveness.
2. Different types of membranes should be stored separately to avoid any potential cross-contamination or damage.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage period extends to one year from the production date, ensuring the product's reliability.
4. During transportation, store membrane rolls vertically and protect them from exposure to sunlight and rain to maintain their quality.

1) What's the popular size for Torch-on bitumen membrane?
- The standard size is 3mm x 1m x 10m, available with either a PE or sand granular top surface for enhanced utility.
-4mm x 1m x 10m with a choice of an elegant PE or a refined sand granular top.
2) What's the fundamental difference between SBS and APP?
-SBS and APP are highly specialized modifiers crafted to elevate membrane performance. SBS modifiers dramatically enhance the cold resistance of waterproof membranes, making them exceptionally suitable for frigid environments. Conversely, APP modifiers significantly boost the heat resistance of waterproof membranes. While their external appearances are deceptively similar, the enhancements they provide are remarkably distinct.
3) Is OEM available?
