Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the top choice for waterproofing and seepage-proofing across a spectrum of building grades. Whether for exposed or hidden zones, these membranes shine in protecting flat roofs, sloped roofs, subterranean spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking areas, reservoirs, and beyond.

Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is pristine-clean, dry, and devoid of contaminants, ready for a flawless application.
All dust and loose materials must be comprehensively eradicated.
Blowholes and voids should be fully revealed and expertly patched afterward.
2. Primer:
Prior to membrane placement, meticulously apply primer. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then coat it thoroughly with a primer to boost waterproofing, ensuring dust cohesion and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with precision, aligning it accurately before embarking on the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane parallel, ensuring a staggering of at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints, ensuring optimal stability.
*Alternating the end-to-end overlaps is essential, avoiding alignment in a single line for enhanced structural integrity.
*Commence at the lowest slope height, prioritizing crucial areas like drains and downpipes.
*During the torching phase, simultaneously heat both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlap areas for a superior bond.
*Meticulously weld overlaps to ensure a clean trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a flawless finish.
4.Use a roller to firmly press the membrane surface, ensuring an impeccable bond that withstands the test of time.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and pristine. Avoid working on rainy or snowy days for optimal results.
2. Refrain from working in winds exceeding grade 5 to ensure safety and quality.
3. Construction should be halted if temperatures drop below 5°C.
4. Should rain or snow occur during construction, implement protective measures for the laid membrane to maintain quality.
5. All personnel are required to wear designated safety uniforms, with fire control equipment being mandatory during installation.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment to preserve their integrity.
2. Different membrane types should be stored separately to prevent any mixing.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage duration extends to one year from the production date.
4. During transportation, ensure that membrane rolls stand upright, preserving their integrity by shielding them from the harsh elements such as direct sunlight and rain. This simple precaution ensures their lasting quality.
