Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the premier choice for protecting against water infiltration and seepage across an extensive range of building types. Whether for exposed or concealed areas, these membranes excel at securing flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground spaces, tunnels, bridges, parking areas, reservoirs, and beyond.

Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is impeccably clean, dry, and devoid of contaminants, setting the stage for flawless application.
All dust and loose, friable materials must be comprehensively eliminated.
Blowholes and voids should be fully exposed and expertly repaired to ensure a flawless finish.
2. Primer:
Before placing the membrane, apply the primer with meticulous care. Clean the substrate using a dust catcher or blower, then administer a treatment primer to bolster waterproofing, guaranteeing effective dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with precision, ensuring precise alignment before commencing the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, staggering them by at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints, thereby optimizing stability.
*Alternating the end-to-end overlaps is essential, preventing alignment along a single line to enhance structural integrity.
*Always begin at the lowest slope height, prioritizing drains, downpipes, and other crucial details.
*During the torching process, simultaneously heat both membrane and substrate, with emphasis on the roll and overlapping areas to ensure a secure bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps to ensure a clean trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a flawless finish.
4.Utilize a roller to firmly compress the membrane surface, ensuring a bond of impeccable adhesion that withstands the test of time.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Avoid working on rainy or snowy days to achieve optimal results.
2. Refrain from working in winds stronger than grade 5 to ensure safety and quality.
3. Construction should not proceed if the temperature drops below 5°C.
4. If rain or snow occur during construction, protective measures for the laid membrane are imperative to preserve quality.
5. All personnel must wear designated safety uniforms, and fire control equipment is mandatory during installation.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment to maintain their quality.
2. Different membrane types should be stored separately to prevent mixing and ensure distinct integrity.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage duration extends up to one year from the production date.
4. For optimal preservation during transportation, it is crucial to store membrane rolls in a vertical position, ensuring they are adequately shielded from the detrimental effects of sunlight and rain.
