Bitumen, popularly acknowledged as asphalt, is a sticky, black, and exceptionally viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum. Celebrated for its supreme waterproofing qualities, it has become indispensable in construction. Bituminous membranes stand as the ideal choice for waterproofing roofs, basements, below-ground structures, bridges, and more. Acclaimed for their versatility, these membranes can be applied using two predominant methods.
The esteemed application methods are Torch-on and Self-adhesive.
Torch-on bituminous membranes epitomize effectiveness, ease, and simplicity for all seasons. Upon application, CHENHUA's bituminous membranes form a sleek, watertight shield, firmly bonded to the surface, ensuring lasting protection.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membrane offers unparalleled versatility for various grades of building waterproofing and seepage-proofing projects, suitable for both exposed and hidden locations such as flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground structures, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, and reservoirs.

Application method:
1.Substrate :
Ensure the substrate is pristine, dry, free from contaminants, and meticulously prepared for optimal adhesion.
All dust and loose, friable material must be thoroughly eradicated.
Blow holes and voids should be meticulously exposed and then skillfully repaired.
2.Primer:
Apply primer before laying the membrane: cleanse the substrate of dust using a dust catcher or blower, then thoroughly coat with a treatment primer to achieve dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3.Membrane place:
*Unroll and accurately align the torch-on membrane before proceeding with torching or bonding.
*Ensure each membrane is laid parallel, staggered by at least 1 meter to prevent alignment of joints.
*End-to-end overlaps must always alternate and should never align along a single line.
*Commence from the lowest slope height integrating drains, downpipes, or other specific details.
*During torching, simultaneously heat the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlaps for precision.
*Execute welds with precision until a subtle trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, is visible along the overlap line.
4.Employ a roller to firmly press the membrane surface, ensuring a secure, robust adhesion.


Attention:
1.The substrate must remain dry and immaculate. Avoid working on rainy or snowy days.
2.Abstain from work during strong winds exceeding level 5.
3.Construction is inadvisable below temperatures of 5°C.
4.Should rain or snow occur during construction, implement protective measures for the laid membrane.
5.All personnel must don specialized uniforms to ensure safety during installation. Adequate fire control equipment is imperative.


Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry and well-ventilated conditions for preservation.
2. Different membrane types must be stacked separately to maintain order.
3. Under normal conditions, storage longevity is assured for one year from the production date.
4. Membrane rolls should remain upright during transport, shielded from sunlight and rain.
