Unshaped fiberglass mesh is widely used as the raw material of compound base mat which
is one of the nonwoven reinforcements of bitumen waterproof membranes. It is to increase
the tension performance of finished bitumen waterproof membranes.

There are different reinforcements for bitumen waterproof membrane.
1) Polyester nonwoven mat (this kind has good tension and elongation,but price not cheap.)
2) Fiberglass mat (this kind has good corrosion and other weather resistance function,but no elongation because of fiberglass attributes )
3) Compound base mat (This kind is with fiberglass mesh reinforced which can increase the tension performance by a lot, but this kind doesn't have any elongation because of fiberglass attributes. )
