Bitumen, often referred to as asphalt, is a dense, black, and highly sticky liquid or semi-solid petroleum form. Renowned for its exceptional waterproofing properties, it is an invaluable asset in construction. Bituminous membranes, a favored solution, provide waterproofing capabilities for roofs, basements, subterranean structures, bridges, and more. Primarily, bitumen membranes can be applied using two distinct methods.
The two primary application techniques are Torch-on and Self-adhesive.
Torch-on bituminous membranes offer a versatile, efficient, and straightforward solution for year-round use. Upon application, CHENHUA's bituminous membranes establish a thin, watertight barrier that seamlessly bonds to the surface.

Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are extensively utilized across various building waterproofing and seepage-proofing projects, suitable for both exposed and concealed locations such as flat roofs, sloped roofs, underground areas, tunnels, bridges, parking lots, and reservoirs.

Application Method:
1. Substrate Preparation:
Ensure the substrate is thoroughly clean, dry, free from all contaminants, and properly prepared.
Remove all dust and any loose, friable material.
Expose and repair any blowholes and voids completely.
2. Primer Application:
Apply a primer before laying the membrane. Use a dust catcher or blower to clean the substrate dust, and then comprehensively apply a treatment primer to enhance dust consolidation and adhesive efficacy.
3. Membrane Placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane and align it precisely before torching or bonding.
*Each membrane must be laid parallel and staggered by a minimum of 1 meter to prevent joint overlaps.
*Alternate the end-to-end overlaps to ensure they do not align along a single line.
*Begin at the lowest slope height with drains, downpipes, or other specific details.
*During torching, simultaneously heat the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlapping sections.
*Carefully weld the overlaps until a small trickle of melted mixture, approximately 1 cm wide, appears along the overlap line.
4.Utilize a roller to apply firm pressure on the membrane surface, ensuring a robust bond.


Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Avoid work during rainy or snowy weather.
2. Refrain from working in windy conditions exceeding 5 grade.
3. Construction is not recommended when temperatures fall below 5°C.
4. Implement protective measures for the laid membrane if rain or snow occurs during construction.
5. Workers should wear special uniforms for safety during installation. Fire control equipment is essential.


Packing and Shipping:
1. Store membranes in dry, well-ventilated conditions.
2. Stack different types of membranes separately.
3. Under standard conditions, the storage duration is one year from the production date.
4. Transport membrane rolls vertically, keeping them away from sunlight and rain.
