Torch Down Bitumen Waterproof Membranes are the top choice for waterproofing and seepage-proofing across various building grades. Application method:
1. Substrate:
Ensure the substrate is immaculately clean, dry, and free from any contaminants, setting the stage for an impeccable application.
All dust, along with any loose or friable materials, needs to be thoroughly eliminated.
Blowholes and voids should be fully exposed and expertly repaired to perfection.
2. Primer:
Before laying the membrane, meticulously apply primer. Clean the substrate with a dust catcher or blower, then coat it with a treatment primer to enhance waterproofing, ensuring effective dust consolidation and superior adhesion.
3. Membrane placement:
*Unroll the torch-on membrane with precision, ensuring accurate alignment before starting the torching or bonding process.
*Lay each membrane in parallel, making sure they are staggered by at least 1 meter to prevent coinciding joints for optimal stability.
*Alternate the end-to-end overlaps carefully, avoiding alignment along a single line to enhance integrity.
*Always begin at the lowest slope height, giving priority to drains, downpipes, or other critical details.
*During the torching process, simultaneously heat both the membrane and substrate, focusing on the roll and overlapping areas to ensure a secure bond.
*Precisely weld overlaps to ensure a fine trickle of melted mixture, about 1 cm wide, along the overlap line for a perfect finish.
4.Use a roller to firmly compress the membrane surface, ensuring a pristine adhesion that endures the test of time.
Attention:
1. The substrate must be dry and clean. Avoid working on rainy or snowy days to achieve the best results.
2. Refrain from working in winds stronger than grade 5 to ensure both safety and quality.
3. Construction should not commence if the temperature falls below 5°C.
4. In the event of rain or snow during construction, implementing protective measures for the laid membrane is essential to maintain its quality.
5. All personnel must wear designated safety uniforms, and fire control equipment is mandatory during installation.

Packing and shipping:
1. Store membranes in a dry, well-ventilated environment to preserve their quality over time.
2. Different types of membranes should be stored separately to prevent any mixing.
3. Under optimal conditions, the storage duration is one year from the date of production.
4. During transportation, ensure the membrane rolls stand tall and upright. They must be securely shielded from both the glaring sunlight and unforeseen rain showers. This careful preservation guarantees the longevity and effectiveness of the product.
